2017

On Sunday 12th March 2017, we welcomed our guest speaker and very talented painter, David Herridge, who had completed the restoration work in the church.

Holy Trinity is a listed building, so we try to keep it in good condition. Sadly, some of the decorative paintwork had been damaged by water from a leak on the roof (now repaired). Mr Herridge matched the colour and design of the original paintwork so skillfully that you cannot tell the new paintwork from the old.

Despite the roof repairs, new pathway and installation of extra handrails by the steps, there is still plenty of work to be done by way of regular upkeep and to make the church accessible for the disabled.

We are very grateful to Rod Trevaskus, who has undertaken a lot of the paperwork and supervision to make all this possible.
